Michelle Harder Counselling

"Healing begins when we feel safe enough to be seen, strong enough to feel, and supported enough to change."

About Me

I’m a trauma-informed therapist with specialized training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). My work focuses on supporting individuals navigating addiction and trauma—areas that I also have personal, lived experience with. I bring authenticity, empathy, and a genuine presence to every session, believing that healing happens in spaces where we feel truly seen and heard.

Outside of my professional role, I’m a mom, a wife, a dog mom, and someone who deeply values connection. I believe people cross our paths for a reason, and I feel immense gratitude for each person I have the privilege of working with. Life can be incredibly beautiful and full of miracles, but it also holds pain and challenge. My hope is to offer you a space of safety and compassion—where you can feel validated, find some relief, and begin to heal.

My Approach

My approach is holistic, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I support individuals navigating trauma, addiction, and emotional overwhelm—often rooted in early life experiences or chronic stress. My own lived experience allows me to show up authentically, creating a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll gently explore your nervous system responses, the protective parts of you that have developed over time, and uncover ways to bring relief, resilience, and healing through body-based and integrative techniques.

I believe healing happens in connection—in spaces where we feel truly accepted and supported. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, substance use, or the lasting impact of trauma, I’ll walk alongside you at a pace that feels safe. My work is guided by empathy, presence, and a deep respect for your unique path. Outside of the therapy room, I’m a mom, wife, and dog mom who finds meaning in every person I meet. Life is full of both beauty and pain, and it’s my privilege to hold space for you as you navigate both.
